I have been working as a secondary school Art teacher in Oxfordshire since 2011.

Working alongside children and adults brings me so much joy because of the relationships I build. It is an honour to see the growth in students' confidence and ability. Seeing students achieve more than they thought was possible is one of the many reasons why I love my job.

Being creative gives me an outlet to rest, relax and recharge. When I'm focused on a drawing, any stresses from the day fall away and I ease into a state of mindfulness. My two beautiful children and family make me smile every day. When I get a moment to myself, yoga keeps my mind and body zen.

I am a professional, caring and enthusiastic art teacher with 20 years of experience; 14 years teaching secondary art and 6 years teaching adults as a freelance art tutor. I have a passion for devising and delivering art classes and workshops, and I aim to not only equip students with new skills but to encourage creative exploration in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I have experience teaching a broad range of art classes including drawing, watercolour, acrylic, oil, print making, silk and mixed media. Inspiration for my studio-based artwork comes from nature. I love spending time in nature with my friends and family, walking, sketching, photography, visiting gardens and gardening. I also love being part of a church community; supporting the church family and our local community.
